Holmes County Trail

Fredericksburg – Killbuck
A recreation/transportation paved trail through scenic Holmes County that accommodates bicyclists, pedestrians, horseback riders, and buggies. 15 miles is paved from Fredericksburg to Killbuck with another 7.5 miles paved from Glenmont to Brinkhaven Ohio (a seven-mile road route connects to the stretches of the Holmes County Trail). This is part of the Ohio to Erie Trail.

This scenic 326 mile trail links the Ohio River to Lake Erie, primarily on rail trails and canal paths. It goes through four major cities, numerous quaint small towns and miles of pastoral countryside.
Alum Creek Greenway Trail
Westerville – Galena
This 25-mile trail runs from Westerville to Galena along the Alum Creek. The path is paved and relatively flat, with scenic views of forests, wetlands, and wildlife. Along the way, you’ll pass through parks, picnic areas, and fishing spots.
Hockhocking Adena Bikeway
Nelsonville – Athens
This 21-mile trail runs from Nelsonville to Athens along the Hocking River. The path is paved and relatively flat, with anything from college town amenities and atmosphere to scenic natural features and idyllic Midwest farmland.

Springfield – Anderson
The Little Miami Scenic Trail is a jewel in the crown of Ohio rail-trails, spanning just over 78 miles from the outskirts of Cincinnati to Springfield over historical bridges and through tranquil state parks, charming small towns, and stunning natural habitats.
Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail
Cleveland – Zoarville
This 85-mile trail runs from Cleveland to New Philadelphia along the former Ohio & Erie Canal. The path is mostly unpaved and relatively flat, with scenic views of the Cuyahoga River, forests, and wetlands. Along the way, you’ll pass through historic sites, such as the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Canal Fulton Canalway Center.
